JOHN FINCH - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CAPITAL PROJECTS
John Finch oversees the development and construction of all of SHD's major projects. Most recent projects include the $82mm Margaritaville Hotel in Downtown Nashville and the recently completed $45mm Camp Margaritaville RV Resort & Lodge in Pigeon Forge, an 89-room lodge and 170 RV sites. Both projects were completed on time and within budget.
John brings 45 years of construction industry knowledge specializing in commercial and institutional buildings. His project-specific expertise includes medical, higher education, libraries, schools, office building, parking garages, institutional projects, dormitories, government buildings, retail and specialty buildings with a strong emphasis on historic restorations and renovations. He is equally skilled in all types of construction procurement: Design-Bid, Design-Build, and Construction Management. Finch functions as the Owner's Representative for SHD on all its major projects. In that role, he uses his 45 years of experience in building to help Owners avoid typical pitfalls that frequently result in budget overruns and schedule delays.
In addition to his senior-level construction expertise, John is a master at keeping everything in perspective and running efficiently. He has a clear understanding of each trade professional's process and responsibilities while holding them accountable and ensuring that the quality is met and completed on time and within budget.
